Test VER-1: Air Bag Verification Test

  1. Remove all jumper wires. Reconnect all previously disconnected components (except battery). Turn ignition on and reconnect battery. Connect DRBIII to data link connector. Using DRBIII, erase stored DTCs.
  2. Turn ignition off and wait 15 seconds before turning ignition on. Wait one minute. Read active DTCs. If DRBIII displays any active DTCs, go to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)  table. If DRBIII does not display any active or stored DTCs, system is operating properly at this time.
