Removal & Installation (Grand Cherokee)
CAUTION:
The Airbag Control Module (ACM) should be de-powered by disconnecting negative battery cable in any operation requiring ignition key to be turned on while working in console area (console, carpet, parking brake cable, shift lever, or seat removal and installation). - Set parking brake. Place transmission shift lever and transfer case lever in full rearward position. Remove mat from front bin and remove screws attaching front of console to floor. See Fig 1. Remove screws attaching rear bin to console.
- Remove rear bin. Pull rear passenger cup holder outward to access screws. Remove screws attaching rear of console to floor. Lift console upward and rearward. Remove console from vehicle. To install console, reverse removal procedure.
