Rear Door Latch: Service and Repair

LATCH

REMOVAL
1. Remove waterdam.

2. Remove screws attaching latch to door (Fig. 7).
3. Disconnect the electrical harness connector.
4. Disconnect rods from door latch.
5. Separate door latch from door.

INSTALLATION
1. Connect the electrical harness electrical connector and position the latch in door.
2. Connect rods to door latch.
3. Install screws attaching latch to door and tighten to 11 N.m (8 ft. lbs.). (Fig. 7)
4. Install waterdam.
5. Verify proper power lock and ajar switch operation.
