SYMPTOM
AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR CIRCUIT OPEN

WHEN MONITORED
With the ignition ON

SET CONDITION
The BCM detects the Ambient Temperature Sensor Signal circuit voltage is above 4.8 volts for 5 seconds or more. Customer complaint: EVIC temperature display is -40 ° C (-40 ° F).

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Ambient temperature sensor signal circuit shorted to voltage
- Ambient temperature sensor
- Ambient temperature sensor return circuit open
- Ambient temperature sensor signal circuit open
- Body control module
