Turn Signal Indicator Test
WARNING:
Deactivate air bag system before performing any service operation involving steering column, seat and instrument panel components. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. Do not apply electrical power to any component on steering column without first deactivating air bag system. Air bag may deploy.
Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Connect negative battery cable. Actuate hazard warning switch. Check battery voltage at terminal No. 6 (Tan wire) at instrument cluster harness connector C2. Check battery voltage at terminal No. 10 (Light Green/White wire) at harness connector C1. There should be a switching battery voltage signal. If battery voltage is not as specified at any terminal, repair open in Tan wire and/or Light Green/White wire between turn signal switch and instrument cluster. If battery voltage is as specified at all terminals, replace turn signal indicator bulb(s).
