BRAKE Warning Indicator Illuminates During Bulb Check, Does Not Illuminate When Parking Brake Is Applied

  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect parking brake switch harness connector. Apply parking brake. Check continuity between ground and Gray/Black wire terminal at parking brake switch harness connector. If continuity exists, go to next step. If no continuity exists, replace parking brake switch.
  2. Disconnect brake warning pressure switch harness connector. Check continuity of Gray/Black wire between terminal No. 1 at brake warning pressure switch harness connector and parking brake switch harness connector. If continuity exists, replace parking brake switch. If no continuity exists, repair open in Gray/Black wire between parking brake switch and brake warning pressure switch.
