LOW WASHER Indicator Does Not Illuminate With Washer Reservoir Empty

  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect washer fluid level switch harness connector. Check continuity between ground and Black wire terminal at washer fluid level switch harness connector. If continuity exists, go to next step. If no continuity exists, repair short to ground in Black wire between washer fluid level switch and ground point. Ground point is located on left fender side shield, near Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
  2. Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Check continuity of Black/Light Blue wire between terminal No. 7 at instrument cluster harness connector C1 and washer fluid level switch harness connector. If no continuity exists, repair open in Black/Light Blue wire between instrument cluster and washer fluid level switch. If continuity exists, replace washer fluid level switch.
