Passenger-Side Air Bag Disable (Pad) Switch

The Passenger-Side Air Bag Disable (PAD) switch allows passenger-side air bag module to be disabled when certain child restraint devices are used in the right front seat. The switch has a Light-Emitting Diode (LED) that will illuminate when switch is in OFF position. While in OFF position, a circuit board inside switch simulates passenger-side air bag module preventing ACM from logging fault code. Ignition switch must be in OFF position before moving PAD switch to ON or OFF positions, otherwise ACM may log fault code due to momentary open of PAD switch contacts.
