Removal & Installation

  1. Ensure steering wheel is in straight-ahead position. Disable air bag system and remove driver air bag module. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. Disconnect cruise control and remote radio switch connectors (if equipped).
  2. Remove steering wheel retaining nut. Reference mark steering wheel and steering shaft. Using puller, remove steering wheel. To install, reverse removal procedure. Align reference marks. Tighten steering wheel nut to specification.
