Horn Switch: Removal

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disable air bag system and remove driver air bag module. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. Remove plastic horn switch feed wire retainer(s) from studs on air bag module housing. See Figure .
  2. Remove upper and lower trim cover retainers from air bag housing studs. See Figure . Remove horn switch ground wire eyelet from upper air bag module housing stud. Release 4 trim cover locking blocks from lip around outside edge of air bag housing. See Figure . Remove air bag housing from trim cover.
