Removal & Installation: Aw4: Installation

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Reconnect all vacuum hoses and electrical connections. Reconnect all shift cables and/or linkage. Adjust shift cable, throttle valve cable and transfer case shift linkage if necessary. See the TRANSMISSION SERVICING - A/T article.
  2. Install NEW "O" ring seal on upper half of transmission fill tube. Connect upper and lower tube halves. Tighten all bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Fill transmission with MOPAR Dexron IIE/Mercon fluid.
