Air By-Pass Valve

  1. Air by-pass valve is located on intercooler inlet water hose. Remove air by-pass valve.
  2. Check if air by-pass valve is closed. If air by-pass valve is open, replace valve. If air by-pass valve is closed, go to next step.
  3. Connect a hand-held vacuum pump to air by-pass valve vacuum fitting. Apply 16 in. Hg vacuum. Valve should open when vacuum is applied. If valve does not open, replace air by-pass valve.
