Removal (Non-Deployed Module)

- Before proceeding, see SERVICE PRECAUTIONS. Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
- Passenger-side air bag module is located above glove box and is mounted to instrument panel retainer, knee bolster and glove box. Open glove box, and push sides inward to allow door to fully open. Working through glove box opening, remove 4 module screws.
- Remove both door sills. Remove both instrument panel end covers to access knee bolster screws. See Figure . Remove right air duct. Remove knee bolster. Disconnect air bag module connector. Remove remaining air bag module screws. To remove air bag module, lift and turn module so it can be lowered through mounting bracket.
