WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1994 Eagle Vision, 1994 Dodge Intrepid, 1994 Chrysler New Yorker, 1994 Chrysler LHS, and 1994 Chrysler Concorde. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
Perform TEST 22A before proceeding with this test.
- Remove and inspect fuse No. 14. If fuse is open, go to next step. If fuse is okay, go to step 4).
- Turn ignition off. With DRB in ohmmeter mode, probe load side of fuse No. 14 (Dark Blue/White wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not less than 5 ohms, replace fuse No. 14. Perform VERIFICATION TEST.
- Unplug Beige BCM connector, located above right kick panel. Turn ignition off. With DRB in ohmmeter mode, probe cavity No. 22 (Dark Blue/White wire) of Beige BCM harness connector. If resistance is not less than 5 ohms, replace BCM and perform VERIFICATION TEST. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground on Dark Blue/White wire between BCM and fuse No. 14. Replace fuse No. 14. Perform VERIFICATION TEST.
- With DRB in voltmeter mode, probe load side of fuse No. 14 (Dark Blue/White wire). If voltage is higher than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is not higher than 10 volts, repair open Dark Blue wire between ignition switch and fuse block. Perform VERIFICATION TEST.
- Reinstall fuse No. 14. Turn ignition off. Unplug Beige BCM connector, located above right kick panel. Turn ignition on. With DRB in voltmeter mode, probe cavity No. 13 (Dark Blue/White) of Beige BCM harness connector. If voltage is higher than 10 volts, replace BCM. Perform VERIFICATION TEST. If voltage is not higher than 10 volts, repair open Dark Blue/White wire between BCM and fuse No. 14. Perform VERIFICATION TEST.
