Removal & Installation

  1. Drain engine oil. Remove oil pan bolts, and remove oil pan. To install, reverse removal procedure. Apply a .12" (3.0 mm) diameter bead of RTV sealant on oil pan sealing surface.
  2. Ensure sealant is on inside of bolt hole and centered in groove on oil pan flange. Ensure sealant is not forced out toward rear seal flange area. Tighten bolts in a crisscross pattern, working outward from center. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
