Valve Springs

Inspect valve spring pressure, free length and maximum out-of-square. Replace valve spring(s) if measurements are not within specification. See VALVES & VALVE SPRINGS SPECIFICATIONS table under ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS. Install valve springs with enamel-coated end toward spring retainer.
