Removal & Disassembly

  1. Remove timing belt and crankshaft sprocket. See TIMING BELT  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove oil pan and pick-up tube. See OIL PAN  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Remove oil pump-to-cylinder block bolts. Note bolt locations and lengths for reassembly. Remove oil pump. Disassemble oil pump. See Fig 1. Remove oil seals from oil pump case.
