Oil Pump: Inspection

- Inspect components for damage. Measure clearance between small area of inner rotor and oil pump case. Measure clearance between outer rotor and oil pump case.
- Install inner rotor and outer rotor in oil pump case. Place straightedge across pump case and both rotors. Using feeler gauge, check rotor end clearance between rotors and straightedge. Ensure relief plunger slides freely in bore. Replace oil pump assembly if measurements exceed specification. See OIL PUMP SPECIFICATIONS table.
