Ignition Switch

Ensure gear select lever is in Park position. On tilt column, remove tilt lever by turning counterclockwise. On all models, remove upper and lower steering column covers. Using Torx bit (Snap-On TTXR15A2 or TTXR20A2), remove ignition switch retaining screws and pull ignition switch away from steering column. Release connector locks and disconnect ignition switch 7-pin and 4-pin connectors. Check for continuity between terminals when ignition switch is in specified position. See IGNITION SWITCH CONTINUITY . See Fig 1 . If continuity is not as specified, replace ignition switch.
