Ignition Switch: Removal

Disconnect negative battery cable. Ensure gear select lever is in Park position. On tilt column, remove tilt lever by turning counterclockwise. On all columns, remove steering column covers. Disconnect harness connector from ignition switch. See Fig 1 . Remove ignition switch mounting screws. Pull ignition switch straight outward from steering column.
