Test 18A: Repairing Blank DRB Screen

NOTE:
For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect DRB. Turn ignition on. Using an external voltmeter, check voltage on Red wire (AA, AJ and AS bodies) or Pink/Dark Blue wire (AP body) between CCD data link connector and ground. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair Red wire (AA, AJ and AS bodies) or Pink/Dark Blue wire (AP body) as necessary. Perform TEST VER-1A: SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST . If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Using an external ohmmeter, check resistance of Black/Light Green wire (AA, AJ and AS bodies) or Black/Yellow wire (AP body) between CCD data link connector and ground. If resistance is more than 20 ohms, repair open in Black/Light Green wire (AA, AJ and AS bodies) or Black/Yellow wire (AP body). Perform TEST VER-1A: SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST . If resistance is less than 20 ohms, go to next step.
- Try a different DRB cable. If DRB screen is no longer blank, replace defective DRB cable. Perform TEST VER-1A: SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST . If DRB screen is still blank, go to next step.
- Try a different DRB cartridge. If DRB screen is no longer blank, replace defective DRB cartridge. Perform TEST VER-1A: SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST . If DRB screen is still blank, replace defective DRB. Perform TEST VER-1A: SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST .
