Test 10B: Pump/Motor Circuit

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS .

Ensure MOTOR PUMP is still actuating. If pump/motor is cycling, go to TEST 10D. If pump/motor is not cycling, disconnect modulator assembly 10-pin connector. Modulator assembly is located under battery tray. Put DRB in voltmeter mode. Using DRB, check voltage on modulator assembly 10-pin connector Brown/White wire. If voltage does not switch to more than 9.5 volts, repair open in Brown/White wire. Perform TEST VER-1A: SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST . If voltage switches to more than 9.5 volts, go to next step.
Turn ignition off. Put DRB in ohmmeter mode. Using DRB, check resistance of modulator assembly 10-pin connector terminal No. 10 (Black wire). See Figure. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Black wire. Perform TEST VER-1A: SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace modulator assembly. Perform TEST VER-1A: SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST .
