Removal & Installation (3.0L)

- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove alternator drive belt. Remove alternator mounting bolts. Position alternator to gain easy access to rear wiring connectors.
- To prevent damage to terminal insulator and wiring, remove wire terminal connectors in following order: BAT terminal nut, field terminal nut, ignition terminal nut, ground and harness retaining nut. Remove alternator from mounting bracket. To install, reverse removal procedure.
