Rear Wheel Bearings: Removal

- Raise and support vehicle. Remove rear wheels. On vehicles with rear disc brakes, remove caliper and disc. Tie caliper aside.
- Remove grease cap, cotter pin, nut lock and adjusting nut. Remove washer and outer bearing. See Fig 1.
- Remove drum or hub from spindle. Remove grease seal and inner bearing from hub or drum. Remove bearing races using brass drift.
