Brake Shoe Adjustment

  1. Adjust parking brake after service brake adjustment. Remove adjusting hole covers. Insert Adjuster or thin-bladed screwdriver into star wheel. Rotate until wheel turns with slight drag.
  2. Back off star wheel while using welding rod to push adjusting lever (if equipped) away from star wheel. Wheels should rotate freely without drag. Adjustments must be equal on both wheels.
