WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1994 Eagle Vision, 1994 Dodge Intrepid, 1994 Chrysler New Yorker, 1994 Chrysler LHS, and 1994 Chrysler Concorde. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
. For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS
. After each repair, perform TEST VER-1.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
- Using an external ohmmeter, check resistance between Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connector terminals No. 6 (Violet/White wire) and No. 26 (Violet/Brown wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short between Violet/White wire and Violet/Brown wire.
- If resistance is more than 5 ohms, check resistance between PCM connector terminals No. 6 (Violet/White wire) and No. 46 (White/Black wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short between Violet/White wire and White/Black wire. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace PCM.
NOTE:
A break in test sequence occurs at this point. No test procedures have been omitted.
