Air Bag System Diagnostic Module (ASDM): Installation

  1. Install ASDM with arrow pointing toward front of vehicle. Install ASDM tab on support bracket slot. Install module with NEW screws and tighten to 15-20 INCH lbs. (1.7-2.2 N.m). Use only screws supplied with new ASDM. Connect electrical connectors.
  2. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. DO NOT connect negative battery cable at this time. Perform system operation check to ensure system is functioning properly. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK.
