Complete System Deactivation

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable, and tape cable end. Disconnect Yellow 2-way clockspring (also known as squib or initiator) harness connector, located between clockspring and instrument panel wiring harness, at base of steering column. See Figure .
  2. Clockspring connector may also be disconnected at ASDM. Reconnect battery, and drive vehicle to repair area. Disconnect negative battery cable, and tape cable end.
  3. Reconnect clockspring connector. Reconnect negative battery cable. Perform system diagnostics and repair as required. See DIAGNOSIS & TESTING.
