Ignition Switch: Removal

- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove tilt lever (if equipped). Remove upper and lower steering column covers. Remove ignition switch mounting screws. Gently pull switch away from steering column.
- Release connector locks on 7-pin and 4-pin connectors. Pull connectors from switch body. Turn key to LOCK position. Using small screwdriver, depress lock cylinder retaining pin. Rotate key to OFF position. Remove lock cylinder.
NOTE:
When ignition switch is in LOCK position, flag on park/lock pin at rear of switch will be parallel to 7-pin connector terminals.
