Oil Cooler Line Disconnect Fittings: Removal

  1. Ensure area around disconnect fitting and oil cooler line is clean. Slide release tool into disconnect fitting until it fully bottoms against flange on oil cooler line.
  2. Push release tool inward and rotate to spread retaining clip and pull oil cooler line from disconnect fitting. See Figure . Inspect disconnect fitting and oil cooler line for damage. Replace disconnect fitting as an assembly if damaged. Replace oil cooler line if swedge at hose or flange on line is damaged.
