Test 64D - Diagnosing No Chime With Turn Signals

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR  IDENTIFICATION. For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.
  1. If a speedometer problem exists, see VEHICLE COMMUNICATIONS. If a speedometer problem does not exist, turn ignition switch to ON position. Check turn signal operation. If turn signals do not operate properly, see INSTRUMENT PANEL article in ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIPMENT section. If turn signals operate properly, go to next step.
  2. Turn left turn signal on. Using DRB, read left turn signal status. If DRB does not display ON then OFF, go to TEST 64E. If DRB displays ON then OFF, go to next step.
  3. Turn right turn signal on. Using DRB, read right turn signal status. If DRB does not display ON then OFF, proceed to TEST 64F. If DRB displays ON then OFF, system is okay at this time.
