Test 58C - Headlamps Will Not Turn On

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR  IDENTIFICATION. For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Turn headlamp switch to ON position. If headlamps do not operate by headlamp switch, see INSTRUMENT PANEL article in ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIPMENT section. If headlamps operate by headlamp switch, go to next position.
  2. Turn headlamp switch to OFF position. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. If headlamps remain on for 60 seconds and then go off, headlamp system is okay at this time. If headlamps do not remain on for 60 seconds and then go off, go to next step.
  3. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) Natural connector. Check, clean and repair connections as needed. Connect jumper wire between BCM Natural connector terminal No. 15 (Orange/White wire) and ground. If headlamps do not operate, repair open Orange/White wire between BCM Natural connector and left pod switch connector. If headlamps operate, replace BCM.
