Complete System Deactivation

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable and tape cable end. WAIT at least 2 minutes before continuing. Disconnect Yellow 2-way clockspring harness connector, located at base of steering column. See Fig 1 .
  2. Clockspring connector may also be disconnected at ASDM. Reconnect battery and drive vehicle to repair area. Disconnect negative battery cable and tape cable end.

  3. Reconnect clockspring connector and negative battery cable before performing system diagnostics. See DIAGNOSIS  .
