Voltmeter Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Voltmeter should read battery voltage. If all gauges except voltmeter are okay, go to next step. If other gauges are inoperative, see Gauges & Indicators Inoperative.
  2. Using an external voltmeter, measure battery voltage at the battery. Compare this reading with instrument cluster voltmeter reading. Compare these readings to VOLTMETER CALIBRATION  specification. If instrument cluster voltmeter does not perform to specification, replace voltmeter.
