Gauges & Indicators Inoperative

  1. Check fuse No. 22. Replace fuse if blown. If fuse is okay, go to next step.
  2. Check for battery voltage at fuse No. 22 with ignition switch in ON position. If there is battery voltage, go to next step. If there is no battery voltage, repair open in circuit from ignition switch or replace ignition switch as necessary.
  3. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove dash pad and cluster assembly. Disconnect printed circuit connector.
  4. Connect negative battery cable. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Check for battery voltage at cavity C12 of printed circuit connector. If there is battery voltage, go to next step. If there is no voltage, repair open in circuit from fuse as required. See Figure .
  5. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect negative battery cable. Probe ground cavity of printed circuit connector. Check for continuity to ground. If there is continuity, replace printed circuit. If there is no continuity, repair open circuit to ground as necessary.
