Voltmeter (Gauge) Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Voltmeter should read battery voltage. If all gauges except voltmeter are okay, go to next step. If other gauges are inoperative, see Gauges & Indicators Inoperative.
  2. Using an external voltmeter, measure battery voltage. Compare reading to instrument cluster voltmeter reading. Compare readings to VOLTMETER CALIBRATION  . If voltmeter does not conform to specification, replace voltmeter.
