Test 87B - Radio No Response Condition

CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting any module connector.

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION in this article. For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS section at the end of this article. Perform TEST VER-1B after each repair.

Turn ignition off and disconnect radio Gray connector. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of radio Gray connector terminal No. 6 (Red/White wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Red/White wire and replace fuse No. 6. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace radio and fuse No. 6.
