Test 25A - Courtesy Lamps On At All Times

CAUTION:
Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
NOTE:
For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION in this article. For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS section at the end of this article. Perform TEST VER-1B after each repair.
- Ensure all doors are closed and dimmer switch on left pod switch is in center position. Using scan tool, read door ajar switch status. If scan tool does not display LFDOOR AJAR OPEN, proceed to TEST 26B . If scan tool displays LFDOOR AJAR OPEN, go to next step.
- If scan tool does not display RFDOOR AJAR OPEN, proceed to TEST 27B . If scan tool displays RFDOOR AJAR OPEN, go to next step.
- If scan tool does not display SIDE DR AJAR OPEN, go to TEST 28B . If scan tool displays SIDE DR AJAR OPEN, go to next step.
- If scan tool does not display GATE AJAR OPEN, proceed to TEST 29B . If scan tool displays GATE AJAR OPEN, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Gain access to Body Control Module (BCM), located behind left side knee panel. Disconnect BCM connectors. If courtesy lamps stay on all the time, repair short to ground in Yellow wire. If courtesy lamps do not stay on all the time, go to next step.
- Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of BCM Blue connector terminal No. 13 (Black/Light Blue wire). If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace BCM. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step.
- Disconnect left pod switch Black connector. Check resistance of BCM Blue connector terminal No. 13 (Black/Light Blue wire). If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace left pod switch. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Black/Light Blue wire.
