Removal & Installation (Crankshaft Removed)

  1. Remove rear crankshaft oil seals from cylinder block and main bearing cap. Lubricate oil seal. Install rear crankshaft oil seals with Yellow paint toward rear of engine.
  2. To prevent oil leakage, apply one drop of Loctite 515 sealant next to oil seal on main bearing cap surface before installing. Apply silicone adhesive sealant at bearing cap-to-cylinder block joint. See Fig 1.
