Removal & Installation: Camshaft: Removal

- Remove the engine. Refer to ENGINE R & I . Remove the front cover and timing chain. Refer to FRONT COVER R & I . Also refer to TIMING CHAIN .
- Remove valve lifters. See VALVE LIFTERS R & I . Remove distributor and distributor drive shaft. Remove camshaft thrust plate, noting location of oil tab for installation reference. See Fig 1. Remove camshaft.
