Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove engine oil dipstick. Raise and support vehicle. Drain engine oil. Remove bolts, oil pan and gasket.
  2. To install, reverse removal procedure using NEW gasket. Apply silicone sealant at timing chain cover and rear crankshaft oil seal retainer-to-cylinder block junction areas before installing NEW gasket. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
