Low Fuel Warning Light Inoperative (If Equipped)

  1. Check that fuel gauge is operating correctly. Refer to FUEL GAUGE RESISTANCE  and Fuel Gauge Inoperative. If okay, go to next step. If fuel gauge is not operating correctly, repair as necessary.
  2. With at least 10 gallons of fuel in fuel tank, unplug fuel tank sending unit connector. Turn ignition switch to ON position and wait 10 seconds. Low fuel warning light should come on. Reconnect fuel tank sending unit and wait 20 seconds. Low fuel warning light should go off. If warning light does not go off, replace low fuel warning light module.
