Instrument Panel Lights Inoperative
- Check fuse No. 19 in fuse block module. Replace if blown. If fuse is good, go to next step.
- Turn parking lights on. Rotate headlight switch knob counterclockwise to just before interior lights detent. Check for battery voltage at fuse No. 19. Rotate headlight switch clockwise while observing voltmeter. If reading goes from battery voltage to zero, go to next step. If voltage reading is not correct, repair open in circuit to headlight switch or replace headlight switch as necessary.
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove instrument cluster bezel and cluster assembly. Unplug cluster connector "A". Connect negative battery cable. Turn park lights on at headlight switch. Rotate headlight switch knob counterclockwise to just before interior lights detent. If there is battery voltage at cavity A7 of cluster connector "A", go t o next step. If there is no battery voltage, repair open circuit to fuse No. 19.
- Turn Parking lights off. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove fuse No. 19. Probe cavity A7 of cluster connector "A". Check for continuity to ground. If there is no continuity, go to next step. If there is continuity, repair short circuit as required.
- Probe cavity A3 of cluster connector "A". Check for continuity to ground. If there is continuity circuit is okay. If no continuity, repair open circuit as required.
