Timing Chain & Sprocket: Installation

  1. Install timing chain and sprockets. Ensure timing marks are aligned. See Fig 1. Install camshaft sprocket bolt. Install oil slinger. Torque bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table at end of this article.
  2. Install new front cover oil seal. See FRONT COVER OIL SEAL in this article. To install remaining components, reverse removal procedure.
