Removal & Installation: Camshaft: Installation

Lubricate camshaft and install into place. Use care not to damage camshaft bearings. To install, reverse removal procedure. Torque bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table at end of this article.

NOTE: Lubricate hydraulic valve tappets and all valve components with Jeep/Eagle Super Oil Conditioner during installation. Oil conditioner must remain with engine oil at least 1000 miles, but need not be drained until next scheduled oil change.
