Cleaning & Inspection

Clean all drive axle components in solvent and dry with compressed air. Inspect bearings and bearing cups and replace if galled, worn, cracked, flat spotted or scored. Inspect carrier side gears and pinion gears. Replace any gear that is worn, cracked, chipped or broken. Inspect ring and pinion gears and replace both gears as a complete set if either gear is worn or damaged. Inspect carrier case for wear or cracks and replace if necessary.
