LCD Clock Display And/Or Radio Display Does Not Dim With Lights On

Ignition in ACCY, light ON.

Test radio/clock illumination relay connector terminal 1. If battery voltage is not detected, repair open from headlamp switch.

Test radio/clock illumination relay connector terminal 2 with light OFF. If resistance reading is zero, system is fine, replace radio/LCD clock illumination relay. If any amount of resistance is obtain, repair open to ground.

Test radio/clock illumination relay connector terminal 5., If battery voltage is not present, repair open to splice F.

Test radio/clock illumination relay connector terminal 3. If battery voltage is not present, replace radio/LCD clock illumination relay.

Test clock connector terminal H and/or radio connector terminal 11. If battery voltage is present, system is OK, replace clock and/or radio. If battery voltage is not present, repair open from radio/LCD clock illumination relay connector terminal 3.
