Coolant Temperature Gauge - Inoperative

Ignition in RUN. Disconnect coolant temperature sender connector terminal S. If needle goes to C, system is working fine. If it does not, touch coolant temperature sender connector terminal S to ground. If needle goes to H, system is OK, replace sender. If it does not go to H, repair open to gauge.
