Valve Timing: Removal

  1. Drain cooling system and remove radiator. Discharge A/C system if necessary. Remove A/C condenser and receiver assembly (if equipped). Remove fuel pump, ignition wires and distributor.
  2. Remove cylinder head and hydraulic lifters. Remove engine front cover, timing chain and sprockets. Remove front bumper and grille (if necessary). Carefully remove camshaft.
