Removal - 4.0L

  1. Remove air inlet from throttle body. Disconnect fuel line at fuel rail. Label and disconnect all vacuum hoses, ventilation hoses and electrical connectors.
  2. Disconnect throttle cable. If equipped with automatic transmission, disconnect throttle valve cable. Remove vacuum hoses from ported vacuum switch and EGR valve. Disconnect EGR tube fittings from manifolds.
  3. Disconnect exhaust pipe from manifold. Disconnect oxygen sensor. Remove manifolds.
